Texas’ run-off election for the Democratic and Republican primaries has been moved to Tuesday, July 14, 2020. The deadline to register to vote in the July 14 primary was June 15, 2020.
If you missed out–it’s not too late to register to vote so your voice can be heard in the General Election which will be held on November 3, 2020. You must be 18 years old by election day. (But note that you can’t register until you are at least 17 years and 10 months old.)
The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is October 5, 2020. HERE is general information from the Texas Secretary of State on registering to vote in Texas.
You can obtain a voter registration application at your voter registrar’s office or most post offices. HERE is the SOS’s information on “Where to Get an Application to Register to Vote.”
You can also go HERE to fill out a voter registration application, which you must then print and either mail in or hand deliver to your local County Voter Registrar at least 30 days prior to the election.
