Ann Doan was elected Federal Party Whip when she came to Girls State from Tyler in 1966. A member of ALA Unit 569, she serves as the Chairman of the Girls State Committee. Ann earned a Bachelors degree in Education and Mathematics from Texas Tech University and received her Masters degree in Education at Texas Wesleyan University. She is a retired math teacher.

Charlotte Toulouse was a citizen in 1991 and since that time she has served on the Education Staff, as National Party Sponsor and in the GS Office. In the real world she is a math teacher and mother to two wonderful sons. One of the things that Charlotte finds so special about GS is that her friends here can be apart for a long time, and when they see each other again, “it’s just like we saw each other yesterday.” Charlotte is also a member of the Leon Springs ALA Unit.
