City A – Mauri King graduated from Texas A&M University in 2009 with a degree in political science. Mauri was a citizen in 2004 and served as the Federal Party House Whip, and has been on staff as a JC, Party Sponsor, and SC. She has a blog, The American Patriette, where she blogs about family, hospitality and patriotism and is the author of her first children’s book, The Adventures of Pootsey the Wonderbug, which she wrote based on childhood notes from her dad. Her favorite things about Girls State are the lifelong friendships and the encouraging and inspirational atmosphere.

City B – Anna Trevino grew up in Denton, Texas and Brussels, Belgium. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 with a B.A. in Government and a B.A. in French. Anna now lives in the Washington D.C. area, and works in government relations. Anna attended Girls State in 2013 and ran for General Land Office Commissioner. She has served as a Junior Counselor, County Coordinator, and Senior Counselor.

City C – Madison Bush is originally from Bulverde, Texas, although she recently graduated from The University of Alabama with a Master of Arts in Communication Studies. She will be attending Boston University School of Law in the fall. Madison was the Municipal Judge for her city when she attended Girls State as a citizen. She loved writing speeches and helping her friends make posters for their campaigns.

City D – Alli Bittner attended Girls State in 2010. She graduated in 2015 from Auburn University with a Chemical Engineering degree and currently resides in Houston, where she works for ExxonMobil and is pursuing an MBA at Rice University. Alli enjoys watching citizens grow through their experience at Girls State and has served as a Junior Counselor, County Coordinator, Legislative Assistant, Senior Counselor, and President of the Senate.

City E – Lilliebeth Halling graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014. She graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with her Masters Degree in Deaf Education and Hearing Sciences. She currently teaches preschool students with special needs. As a citizen she was elected Municipal Judge in her city.

City F – Hillary Everts graduated in 2014 from Trinity University where she studied Theatre and Communication, and Arts Management. When she was a citizen in 2009, her favorite activity was hanging out at The Spot for assemblies. She has been both a JC and a SC and can’t wait to see where she’ll end up next. When Hillary is not at Girls State she is an assistant director of admissions for Trinity University. Hillary is a member of ALA Virtual Unit.

City G – Grace Baen was a citizen in 2009 and ran for governor. She has returned to Girl State to serve as a JC and SC. She graduated from Texas State University San Marcos in May 2014 with a degree in Dance: Performance and Choreography. She lives in Los Angeles and is a movement coach.

City H – Aspen Real comes to Girls State from Carrollton, Texas. She was a citizen in 2011. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 with a degree in Finance. Aspen is excited for the opportunity to participate in the leadership development of young Texas women, in hopes of creating a positive impact for tomorrow’s leaders.

City I – Sarah Lanford is a native of Houston and was a citizen in 2013. She is a 2016 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied government and Spanish. Sarah currently works in Washington, D.C. as a health policy analyst for a nonprofit. Her favorite Girls State memory was running through campus at dusk in a cow suit before a susprise.

City J – Anabeth Fuller is a native of Waco and was a citizen in 2010. She is a 2015 graduate of Baylor University where she studied marketing and management with a minor in corporate communication. Anabeth currently works in Dallas, Texas as a graphic designer and is loving life. Her favorite part of Girls State occurs during closing ceremony after a long, memorable week when staff and citizens get together as a state and sing the Big Three. She believes that citizens as well as staff have come away from the session with lifelong friends and great life lessons.

City K – Kate Katzer has served as JC, Party Sponsor, and SC. She graduated from Kansas State with a degree in Secondary English Education and in the real world, she is a high school Language Arts teacher. Her favorite part of her citizen session in 2008 was bonding with her city during city activities.

City L – Jenna Davenport is a native of Cypress and was a citizen in 2014. She is a 2019 graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she studied international business and supply chain management. Jenna will begin her career working as a procurement associate in Spring. Her favorite memory from Girls State was the Muncipial court case, where she was the City Attorney. Jenna returns to Girls State because the program had a profound impact on her life and she wants to help the program continue to inspire young women.

City M – Kallie Kram was a citizen in 2011 and attends Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Kallie has served as a party sponsor, county coordinator, JC and SC in previous sessions. She has a genuine passion for the Girls State program and truly loves seeing how citizens develop as strong women in leadership throughout the session.

City N – Anne Crisp grew up in Universal City and was a citizen in 2014. She graduated from the University of Texas in 2018 and is now attending law school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She loves spending a week each year in Seguin serving the program that opened the door to her love of government and law.
