Lynda Redix’s first year on staff was 2008. Her favorite part of Girls State is the susprises she gets to perform in, including “Proud Mary,” “Doc of the Bay,” “Respect,” and “Car Wash”. In the real world, she works in the medical field, working with long term care Alzheimer’s patients. She loves to spend time with her three grandchildren, her two pit bulls and one yorkie.
Carolyn Whitener’s first year on staff was 2000. Her favorite part of Girls State is Flag Lowering each night. In the real world, she is a nurse at a doctor’s office. In her free time, she likes to garden and play with her grandchildren.
